Looking to the somewhat bleak horizons, Lyra saw with a little relief that the border was coming into sight- slowly, but surely. Pristine snow and ice glistening underneath, she crunched on forward, speeding up and throwing a little snow out behind her as her figure slowly crossed the flat land, head occaisionally rising to look at the clouds above her. Blinking as the snow stared up at her, almost unnaturally white. Shaking herself once in a whle to dislodge snow.
After another, short shake, she continued on again quickly as the land moved on around her. Though she hadn't noticed it, there was a thin, dull mist around her- it had snuck up on her, it seemed. Mist and fog didn't suit her, she was more at home with at least a little brightness. She was too bright and energetic for this. Or too loud, depending on who was describing her.
And then, Lyra noticed that she had pretty much reached the border, and closed the gap between her and it. Looking forward, she finally sat down on the border, panting a little after her journey.

Logan had to admit that he had been surprised when he caught sight of his first newcomer. Atop the Lonely Peak, scents were almost impossible to access because of the high winds and occasional blizzards. But he knew what an outsider looked like. And sure enough, there was one trespassing along the borderlines. Logan was down in an instant.
A wolf from further south might have found it difficult to plough through the ever-building piles of snow; but being a pure born and raised arctic male, Logan found it almost as easy as walking on grass. However, he knew not to underestimate the lands.
He soon identified the outsider to be a female, and fairly young. As soon as he caught sight of her again, he let out three short barks of perhaps greeting - or maybe merely to show his authority. Yes. The Alpha had arrived.
' Outsider, ' he acknowledged. Short and quick to the point. ' What is your business here? '
Alpha Logan's voice was low and deep. Holding his head and tail high, he waited for the female to show respect and bow. Logan might have been nervous, but he showed absolutely no signs of it.
ooc; Sorry, kind of have writer's block. ;-;

Immediately standing back up, Lyra unconsciously took the smallest of steps back- perhaps, her mind wondered, she should not have come so far up, but waited father back? A spark of fear appeared within her, abut she immediately tried to extinguish it- she was supposed to have come here to become braver!
Immediately she bowed, averting her gaze and flattening her ears. 'I was sent here to find a new pack...' Hoping she didn't sound as nervous as she felt, she steadied herself and gazed down at the ground, inwardly scolding herself for her fear, slowly calming her breathing as much as she could.
OOC: Sorry, short post. I didn't want to make it drag on, though.

Logan ignored her words, yet was pleased that she at least knew the rules of submission. That was a start. Surveying her carefully, he found several points that were weak - if she were to be a hunter, the supposed rank, she would need training. However, her long legs and slender build would work wonders. She seemed young, too.
' What are your strengths? '
He asked sharply. He had no time for pleasantries. The female would have to get used to his attitude. Logan wasn't one to be crossed. Eyeing her again, he remained still.

Keeping herself bowed respectfully, she spoke again. 'Hunting and scouting. ' She intoned. Her voice had lost it's shake- her fear was ebbing away, but she was still nervous. Lyra was always nervous in situations like these, much to her displeasure.
A single, simple ray of light sparkled through the clouds as the scene progressed, causing the snow to sparkle for a moment before it disappeared once more, in hues of yellow and orange- just for a moment. Whether there was any symbolism in this, she didn't know- but the thought was fleeting, gone as the moment passed on with the sun.

After listening to her words, it might have looked like he was ignoring her, but instead he was thinking. Is she deserving enough for the hunter post? he thought carefully. He didn't want to make any mistakes, at least.. not at this stage. He was Alpha Logan now. No messing around.
' Then your rank shall be hunter, ' he replied simply, nodding in acknowledgement of his short announcement. ' The other pack member is Taraska, a scout. '
Nodding again, this time to show his departure, he slowly padded away, before fleeting through a gap in the snow, perhaps hidden to the naked eye. One might find his behaviour rude, but there was no other way that Logan knew of to express his emotions. Sad, but the truth.
ooc; Bad, bad, bad, BAD post. >.< Writer's block. I wrote a beautiful piece earlier, WHY NOT NOW?! D: I'll lock this board now that it's purpose has been filled!
